Starhawk:
Starhawk is one of the most respected voices in modern Goddess religion and earth-based spirituality. She is the author or coauthor of ten books, including the classics The Spiral Dance and The Fifth Sacred Thing. Her latest is Earth Path: Grounding Your Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature. Starhawk is a veteran of progressive movements, and deeply committed to bringing the techniques and creative power of spirituality to political activism. She travels internationally teaching magic, the tools of ritual, and the skills of activism. Her web site is www.starhawk.org.
Suzanne McAnna:
Suzanne finds her magic in the beauty of the living earth, ecstatic
movement/rhythm/stillness, the sacred geometry of labyrinth and
pentacle, and the Faery realms. Wild places and the beings who live
there call to her. She continues to deepen her long and loving
relationship with the Tarot. Suzanne has worked in several craft
traditions since the late 70's, beginning active Reclaiming practice
in 1994 and helping to midwife the birth of Tejas Web. She has taught
at Tejas and Avalon Witch Camps, organized Tejas Camp for many years,
and teaches magic and Tarot for Tejas Web. She lives in Austin,
Texas, with her partner John and two tabby cats, in a small suburban
house full of books, altars, Tarot decks and cat toys.
Charles Williams:
The gods and goddesses have may tools of which charles is humbly one.
He is a nomad wondering the earth, guided by the whispering winds, he weaves between the worlds. With his backpack as his home he traverses the continent in search of ways to serve life. This winding path takes him deep into the wilderness and out into the streets. Whether marching for justice, creating greywater systems or exploring the woods charles is always ready for an adventure.
As a long time land steward of Diana's Grove he is excited to be serving once again. The land on which camp is held is one of his many homes and he love to help others discover some of her hidden secrets.
Cypress Fey:
Cypress is walking a path of the urban wild witch. Like the tarot card,
Temperance, she blends the cups of the urban and the wild to make an
alchemy of magic in her life. She loves working magic and ritual through
dance, stillness practice and trance. She is passionate about
backpacking, nature awareness skills, tracking and what the birds tell
us about ourselves and what's happening on the landscape. Cypress has a
Kamana Two certificate with the Wilderness Awareness School and has
studied holistic tracking with Jon Young and the Shikari Tracking Guild.
She is a local Reclaiming teacher in the Bay Area, and has student
taught wild witchcrafting at Reclaiming Witchcamps and local intensives
in North America . Cypress lives in Oakland California where she weaves
magic and healing into her medical massage practice by day and howls at
the moon with her coyote mix dog by night. :-)
Feral:
Feral has been a part of the Midwest Camp community as a camper and organizer since 1997. She finds opportunities for priestessing all around her, whether it is taking a role in ritual, teaching Reclaiming classes in her home community, or pulling weeds. She seeks to create community that nourishes us all, where we can seek vision and emerge from the cauldron of transformation empowered and inspired. Feral lives in Colorado with her husband and son, and teaches biology at a local college.
Melissa MoonGoddess:
Melissa MoonGoddess is ecstatically in love with Mama Gaia, the earth,
and calls her lover, protector, healer and beloved home. To feel most
vibrant and alive she needs to spend time out in the woods near her
home in Central Vermont. In her home community, she teaches "Gaia's
Body, Developing Intimacy with the Earth and Discovering the Magick of
Ecology", a nine month long expanded and modified Earth Path class, and
"Gaia's Heartbeat", a class that focuses on drumming for trance and
ritual. Melissa delights in drumming, singing, herbalism, being 'radio
active', living true to herself - and challenging others to do so, too.
